The optimistic motto of "United in Discovery, Diverse in Origin" doesn't always hold true as the mixing of species can often be a powder keg for tension.

When Jim sees you getting cornered by your massive and temperamental Centarian Ex, Gorg, Jim looses it and punches the huge alien. And then... well, he didn't really think about what to do next. Now you've got an angry Centarian ready to rip you to pieces unless you can figure out how to stop him.

Octavia: Member of a race of beings who have both cephalopod and human traits, called Xenets. She has a human face, with 'hair' made up of tentacles. Her body is human, though her skin is closer to an octopuses'. Red hair, huge glassy red eyes, nearly translucent pale white skin, small glassy red mouth, fine features. 4.5 feet tall. Humans find her adorable but also strongly "other". Small hands and feet. "Hair" is nearly as large as her body and as long. Tentacles can grasp, and while she can fully control them they do sway and move on their own when she is at rest.
